PTO
WELCOME!
Welcome to Woodland Heights Elementary School (WHES) Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Page. We are thrilled that you are interested in learning more about how parents are involved at our school. At the bottom of the page we have a link that will take you to more detailed information; but if you are looking for a brief overview, that is available right here.
Here at WHES you are automatically part of the PTO if you have children who attend the school. There are no fees associated with your membership. Further, you have the benefit of being a member of a North Carolina A+ rated school. This is an achievement that we hold dear and work hard to maintain. This accolade would not be possible without our exceptional teachers, excellent and committed leadership from our administration team, and the contribution and collaboration of parents/guardians through our PTO. We welcome you to our school and hope you will find a meaningful way to engage with us.
As a PTO, we wish to support the school in the following ways:
- Creating a community where students feel they belong;
- Advancing the environment where teachers and staff are supported;
- Supplementing the tools needed to enhance educational opportunities;
- Facilitating communication between parents, teachers and school leadership.
On our dedicated site (link below) you can learn who is on the Board, our meeting schedule, the events we plan and more. We welcome dialog and want to be sure all parents feel informed and included. If you have any questions about the PTO please reach out to Lisa Cox and Emily Dunlevy, PTO Co-Presidents, at woodlandheightsPTO@gmail.com.
